1667 STID allocation Document Print

Last Update 2009.08.24

Silo Type IDentifier (STID)s are identifiers allocated by the IEEE 1667 WG that uniquely identifies a silo's functionality. The table below lists the currently allocated STIDs.

Questions regarding Silos on this list should be directed to the vendor.

Questions regarding Silo Type Identifier allocation, including requests for a new STID, can be directed to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it after review of the Silo Type Identifier Tutorial.

STID lists the two least significant bytes of the four byte Silo Type Identifier. The two most significant bytes are required to be 0000h by the IEEE Standard, thus the STID for the Probe Silo is 00000100h.

The current list of STID allocation may also be downloaded.
